A Little About Myself

From southamerican suburbs to southeast asian island!

I was born and raised in Concepción, Chile, and I started drums at school when I was around 13 years old. We did a few gigs, mostly covers and composed a couple of original songs. We moved with my family to Seville, Spain when I was 19, and after a year without drums the need to play again led me to attend a jazz workshop at CICUS. There I met my sensei Nacho Megina and learned from other masters like Manuel Calleja. I consider my initiation as a professional musician when I started playing with Carlos Bermudo trio, at Naima Jazz Cafe, where I became a resident drummer playing with some of the best jazz musicians in the area. Gon Navarro Trío (Mosto Jazz), Fany Olmedo Quartet, Toño Contreras and the Jazz Lab, 3Q3. I was part of Amaury Muro Trio. There I also formed my own projects like Juzz Feel It, Son Quartet and BOG Trio.

I Moved back to Chile for a year where I played with different projects from the softness of Fran Gonzalez Banda to the jazz of Concepcion Big Band. I was part of the Kiko Novoa Trio, joined Caces Banda with whom I recorded and album and toured, formed Huejazz, was recruited for the Mario Parra Banda, Criatura Oculta. Later I joined and managed La Chakra for the next 4 years playing in the country and then traveling through Europe and the Balkans, playing at the Turda International Film Festival in Romania and the XIII Night of Guitars Festival at the Lysa Nad Labem theatre in the Czech Republic. In 2023 I cofounded Libertè. When I reached Belgrade, I met Erik and a year later I joined his band Worldly Savages and we play some rock until this day. We did a couple of tours including support act for Kultur Shock playing in 16 shows through balkans and germany.

On the island I've been part of several bands including Andrew Mirabile Band and Kopanganovich Orkestra. I play currently in other bands like Chasing Maybe, Fabrizzio Guitar Trio, Watergod, Nini Brunet Jazz Trio, Voyage Baggage
